Grand Rapids Archers will be active in the Arrowhead and MN State Archery Assoc. Championships. The Arrowhead league will be hosted by Hibbing and Grand Rapids Clubs with the Championship shoot being in Hibbing this year. To compete in the Championship round you must shoot in two of the three planned Arrowhead league shoots. This is to determine which flight you will be placed in based on scores that are shot. At each shoot there is a 9am, 12pm and 3pm shooting line. The Arrowhead League dates are as follows
The MN State Archery Association Championships will also be held in the Northland this year. This is the largest state shoot, by far of all the states in the nation. You have to shoot a qualifying round to be placed in flight. You then shoot with all those in your flight (head to head). This year Hibbing and Aitkin will be hosting a regional qualifier on January 31st and February 1st. The next weekend February 7th and 8th Bemidji, Duluth and Baxter will be hosting a qualifier. Lines start at 9am, 12pm and 3pm. The State shoot will then be March 21st and 22nd at Duluth. This would be an excellent time to participate in a great shoot close to home.
